Far-Western University Kailali Multiple Campus
Our Developmet History
Before 40 years, there was not any institution of higher education in Kailali district. The absence of educational opportunities after SLC created an urgent social demand for the establishment of a campus in the district. Prior to the establishment of Kailali Multiple Campus (KMC) , most of the students of this region had to go to Kathmandu or India for further studies after passing the SEE. The people of Kailali district thus took initiation for the establishment of a campus. As a result, KMC was established in 2037 B.S. At present, KMC has become one of the largest community based campuses of Nepal and there are around 9,000 students studying in this Campus. Since its establishment, KMC has prepared thousands of thousand students who are serving several aspects of life within the country and abroad. It is located in picturesque and peaceful surroundings in the eastern part of Dhangadhi Sub Metropolitan City. The campus is an autonomous and not for profit organization established solely for the purpose of providing higher education. It was affiliated to Tribhuvan University of Nepal. In 2021, KMC is incorporated as constituent campus of Far Western University.
