Kailali Multiple Campus (KMC) was established in 1980 AD as a community college affiliated to Tribhuvan University. Due to good quality of education, adequate physical infrastructure, qualified and experienced teachers, affordable fees and convenient location, this campus emerged as a largest community campus of Nepal. In 2018, KMC had been declared as the best community campus of Nepal by the Government of Nepal together with cash prize of Rs 250,000. The award of Quality Assurance and Accreditation(QAA) certificate by University Grants Commission for its excellence in higher education is the recent achievement of KMC. The incorporation of KMC (2021 AD) as a constituent campus of Far Western University (FWU) is another historical achievement. FWU was established in 2010 by the Act of the Parliament as a fully government funded national university of Nepal.
